Hayling Island Community Centre
Speltham Contracts Ltd recently completed a two storey annexe at Hayling Island Community Centre, incorporating a new Café, meeting rooms and 1st-floor outdoor cricket viewing terrace with a disabled lift and facilities.
Their inventive use of Trespa Meteon created a vertical planking effect, by cutting three different widths from a large sheet. The 'weathered' cladding facade was achieved with a matt texture single-sided panel in Milano Sabbia to soften the appearance and link of the building.
Trespa Meteon was the Architects preferred product not only to give the client the look they were after but also to guarantee the performance necessary for the community centre's exposed southerly location.
Meteon's closed surface and stable, dense composition creates an extremely weather resistant decorative panel, with colour stability for a minimum of 10 years, no matter the weather conditions.
