Trespa Meteon allows nearly limitless design possibilities with its wide range of colours and thicknesses, and its adaptability - the panels can be used on their own or in combination with other materials to create stunning façades or simply as highlights to the design.
Trespa Meteon is a decorative high-pressure compact laminate (HPL) with an integral surface manufactured using Trespa's in-house technologies, Electron Beam Curing (EBC) and Dry Forming (DF). The blend of up to 70% wood-based fibres and thermosetting resins, manufactured under high pressures and temperatures, yields a highly stable, dense panel with good strength-to-weight ratios.
Extensively used in vertical applications like balcony panelling, façade and wall cladding, Trespa Meteon is extremely weather resistant. Neither sun, rain (including acid rain) or moisture have any effect on the panel surface or core. Colours will not change significantly for at least ten years, even under the most severe climatic conditions, or in heavily polluted industrial areas.
Trespa Meteon is BBA certified. This certificate shows Trespa Meteon's strength and stability, behaviour in relation to fire, its durability, and air & water penetration.
Trespa Meteon panels are perfect for use in innovative and functional ventilated façade systems, providing energy efficient, long-lasting properties:-
- Rainscreen - The rain screen protection from Trespa Meteon blocks part of the solar radiation and promotes continuous insulation, which may improve the overall energy performance of the building
- Indoor air quality - Trespa Meteon panels not only provide a low maintenance environment, they may also have a positive contribution to the indoor environment due to the dry and comfortable conditions of the building.
- Continuous airflow - Ventilated facades allow a continuous airflow; drawing air through the cavity. This aids the removal of heat and moisture from rain or condensation.
No coatings required
Trespa Meteon panels are robust and non-reactive therefore, no coating or protective cover is required. Dirt accumulation is limited by the closed, pore-free surfaces of dense HPL; Trespa Meteon is smooth and easy to clean.
Trespa Meteon is easily machinable and workable, as well as having good compressive and tensile strength and excellent pull-out and impact resistance.
