Home to modern, well-equipped teaching and research laboratories, the university required highly chemically and moisture resistant surfaces due to the nature of the research conducted within them.
Lab UK was awarded the contract to fit out two large labs and eighteen additional rooms with extra shelving and benching in 16mm Trespa TopLab Plus®.
A cantilever framework was used so the mobile units could move freely under the Trespa worksurfaces, and height-adjustable tables were also manufactured with Trespa TopLab Plus.
Trespa TopLab Plus’s closed surface is created by Trespa’s EBC2 technology (Electron Beam Curing) for a high level of chemical and moisture resistance combined with an ease of cleaning.
Trespa TopLab Plus is ideal for environments where hygiene, avoidance of contamination, ergonomics, safety and sustainability are important. TopLab Plus surfaces don't support bacterial growth and have excellent resistance to most aggressive chemicals and cleaning agents.
