You may not know exactly what formaldehyde is, but the likelihood is that you have been breathing it in all your life. Formaldehyde is a toxic, flammable gas used in the production of fertiliser, paper, and some resins. Exposure to formaldehyde can irritate the skin, throat, lungs and eyes and can be absorbed through your airways or through intact skin.

Greenguard Gold certification also means that the material is up to 56% lower in volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in comparison to similar products in the UK.
